Shout out to my Murderino knitter friends - Knitterinos! I dyed this colorway the colors of the MFM logo. If you are a listener to My Favorite Murder, you know how Georgia and Karen are very open and honest about their struggles with mental illness and they absolutely do NOT sugarcoat the crap they have done or the crap they have survived. I respect that and I try to live my life the same way.
This yarn base is 100% made in America and it's thicker, and more springy than my other sock weight base. They are also 115 gm as opposed to 100 gm. If you like a little thicker, more sturdy feel, this base is for you!
This base is great for many project; socks, sweater, blankets, etc. I love the smooth look of 4-ply sock weight, which also adds some extra strength.
Colors: black, gray, red, yellow, white, dark blue
Fiber(s): 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon
Weight: Willie USA, sock/fingering
Length/yardage: +/- 434, 115 gm
Care instructions: Superwash wool will not felt in a washing machine (do NOT dry in a dryer). However, I still suggest hand washing, lay flat and shape to dry.
NOTE: Most tap water has a higher than desirable (for hand-dyed wool) pH level. You can neutralize this by simply adding 2 tablespoons, per gallon of water, of white vinegar to your wash water. That will neutralize the pH levels and help maintain the vibrant colors.
