Sagebrush and a clear blue sky...reminds me of home. 🦋 The swatch was made by holding two strands double. I caked one skein and held the beginning and the end of the yarn together to make this swatch. This made the yarn a thick DK weight. The top half of the swatch is knit, and the bottom half is crochet (sc, hdc). I used crochet hook size G 4.25mm, needle size US7 4.5mm.
These skeins have a micron count of 19.5 which is so so soft along with nylon for added strength. These skeins are great for items you want to have a lovely drape; shawls, blankets, scarves, sweater, cardigan, etc. I love the smooth look of 4-ply sock weight, which also adds some extra strength. You’ll love these!
Color(s): sage green, blue sapphire, brown, tan
Fiber(s): 80% superwash 19.5 micron merino, 20% nylon
Weight: light sock/fingering
Length/yardage: +/- 450, 100 gm
Care instructions: Superwash wool will not felt in a washing machine (do NOT dry in a dryer). However, I still suggest hand washing, lay flat and shape to dry.
NOTE: Most tap water has a higher than desirable (for hand-dyed wool) Ph level. You can neutralize this by simply adding 2 tablespoons, per gallon of water, of white vinegar to your wash water. That will neutralize the Ph levels and help maintain the vibrate colors.
